Jorge Ortiz and Jim Balelo started this business together in November of 2022. Jorge Ortiz is the real brains behind our operation. He’s a family man with two great kids and a supportive wife. They are the driving force behind Jorge and what makes him so devoted to building a successful company.
Jim Balelo, a self-starting entrepreneur was the inspiration Jorge needed to kickstart the business. Jim has been self-employed for the last 40 years giving him the business knowledge and mindset to take Ion to a new level!
Why Did We Start Ion-Imaging?
In 15 years of Jorge's career as a Field Service Engineer for Philips and an ISEIII for local IDN hospital he had seen enough of the same problems. The poor knowledge, service, and expertise from other 3rd party vendors and OEM's alike. This lit a fire under Jorge to do better for himself and his customers!

Jorge Ortiz, the owner of Ion-Imaging is the driving force of our mission statement! His experience managing equipment and a customer base in the field has positioned him to successfully take on this venture. To further his experience he took the lead role of managing the imaging group at a local IDN hospital and created new and innovative processes to help position his team of Imaging Service Engineers to excel in every metric.

​Jim Balelo, the President of Ion Imaging is a helping and supportive spirit with the skills of "MacGyver". Jim came out of retirement to assist Jorge in conquering the industry. His vision for Ion-Imaging will help introduce groundbreaking innovations that will shake up the industry and foster a positive change for a better future.
